Our current undergraduate education involvement includes teaching in the School of Medicine undergraduate medical education curriculum, which has undergone recent changes. We are engaged in lectures, clinical skills, expanded clinical skills, facilitated small group learning, and critical inquiry supervision. We teach medical students on:
- Neck and back pain
- Pain principles
- neuromusculoskeletal examination of the patient
- Stroke rehabilitation
- Spinal cord injury rehabilitation
- Traumatic brain injury rehabilitation
- Critical appraisal
- Rehabilitation of vascular amputees
- Population health - physical disabilities (factors affecting activities and participation)
In addition to this, we offer undergraduate students the opportunity to complete observerships, elective rotations, and summer studentships within the department.
